Theo studied Pharmacy at  Leiden University and has worked with more than 25 years of experience as a managing pharmacist for various pharmacies in the Netherlands.

At the University of Utrecht, he conducted research at the sub-faculty of Pharmacognosy into the antioxidant effect of flavanoids.
He is a board member of the Knowledge Circle for Doctors and Pharmacists and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Rivierenland Psychiatrie Foundation. He is also a member of the Lions Club Rotterdam West.
