Dr. Franjo Grotenhermen, Head of Scientific Committee
Franjo Grotenhermen studied medicine at the University of Cologne and was summa cum laude in 1996 med. PhD. He worked as a physician in the field of internal medicine, surgery and naturopathic treatment until his illness-related annulment in 1992 and today, he works in his practice in Steinheim, mainly in the treatment of diseases with a focus on therapy with cannabis and cannabinoids.
Dr. Grotenhermen is the Founder and Managing Director of the International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines (IACM) as well as the co-founder and chairman of the regional section “Cannabis Consortium for Medicine” (ACM).
Author of a large number of articles and books on the therapeutic potential of hemp plants and cannabinoids, their pharmacology and toxicology, he published one of his latest books: Cannabis. Prescription assistance for doctors. 2nd Edition 2017, which is the only manual available for medical doctors in Germany.
The German and Dutch Governments, as well the Word Health Organization (WHO) count on Grotenhermen advise on a regular base.
